friday nights in

Its been a while since I've had one of these. My brain congratulates my body for being able to contain itself and stay in for one night, while my heart longs for the outside cold air, to feel the crispy breeze blowing past my hair and to hear the click clacking of my boots down the street.
Its one of those nights where i enjoy the solitude, sitting at the desk staring down at my barely touched uni notes. Looking up once in a while to the many social networking sites refreshing them every so often hoping for something new to fill up the ever slow pace of time.

i seriously need to fix up my sleeping pattern...

She was walking briskly past the crowds of people trying to escape the drizzling rain on a certain Friday afternoon. Even with an umbrella in hand, there was no intention of putting it to use, the rain somehow made her feel calm and mellow. Mid stride, she suddenly caught a faint whiff of the ever recognizable smell of something like.. weed. Slowing down her pace she looked around trying to locate where the smell had come from, why would anyone be smoking weed at this time of the day in the rain? She thought to herself. And because of this, her head somehow connected the most bizarre number of dots and he immediately came into mind, again probably for about the thousandth time that day.

She's not sure what she missed most about him. Was it his candid smile? The smile that manages to brighten the ever dark days, the smile that never fails to cheer her up whenever she feels tired with the world.

Or was it his carefree nature? Or how he tries to make her laugh with his endless ramblings about nothing in particular? Or is it when his one hug can make her forget about her troubles even if it is for a second?

Does he know how much she misses him?

Lets hope so.
